1895-09-27 - C. A. Madison went back to his successor and bought back 1/2 of his old shop. The new firm will be call Madison & Whalen

1896 - Madison & Whalen, successors to C. A. Madison. General blacksmiths. Horseshoeing a specialty.

1900-10-26 - "To Whom it May Concern" - The co-partnership heretofore existing between C. A. Madison and Jas. Whalen has this day been disolved, C. A. Madison becoming the sole proprietor. All accounts due said firm must be settled by Nov. 1st, 1900. Dated Lyle, Minn. Oct. 4, 1900. C. A. Madison, Jas. Whalen.

1901-03-01 - all those indebted to the old firm of Madison & Whalen must settle up by March 10th.
