1926-10-01 - "Lyle Home Bakery Open" - John Paulson opened his bakery last Thursday and it is now fairly well organized...Mr Paulson has gone to considerable expense in establishing the bakery in Lyle and is now prepared to serve the people. Farmers contemplating holding auction sales can plce their orders for buns and doughnuts and be supplied right here at home.
1929-09-27 - The Gem Restaurant building, which has been owned for many years by the H. N. Peterson heirs, has sold Tuesday to John R. Paulson, Lyle's baker. Mr. Paulson has not decided when he will make the change, but plans to locate the bakery in his own building after making extensive repairs.
1941-01-17 - "Fire at Paulson's Bakery" - The fire department was called to the Paulson bakery Friday morning, where a small blaze set from sparks from the chimney had been discovered. The fire was soon quenched by the use of chemicals, and not a great deal of damage was done. The roof was repaired the same afternoon.
1945-06-22 - The John R. Paulson family of the Lyle Home Bakery who are taking forced vacation due to shortage of material departed Monday on a two weeks vacation with folks at Kerkhoven, Minn.
1947-02-07 - Mrs. Jean Fortun is assisting at Paulson's bakery.
1948-02-27 - "Paulson Sold" - Otto Helfritz has purchased J. R. Paulson's restaurant and bakery business and took charge Thursday.
