Lyle Furniture Company

1900-09-14 - "New Furniture Store." - J. P. Evenson and H. N. Peterson of Lyle, have formed the Lyle Furniture Company and will open up a first-class furniture store at Lyle about the 20th of September. They have purchased a large stock of goods, also the finest funeral car in the county, outside of Austin, costing $1,000. Mr. Evenson severs his connection with the Austin Furniture Company and with his family will move to Lyle at once. - Austin Daily Mail.

1901-05-24 - "Notice." - Notice is hereby given that the co-partnership heretofore existing between H. N. Peterson and John P. Evenson, under the firm name of "Lyle Furniture Co." is hereby dissolved, the said Evenson having purchased the interest of said Peterson therein. Said business will be continued by John P. Evenson. All debts and obligations of said firm are to be paid by said Evenson, and all accounts due said firm are payable to him. Dated May 10, 1901. - Sophia Peterson, as administratrix of the estate of H. H. Peterson, deceased; John Evenson.

1901-05-31 - "Notice" - I have decided to discontinue the furniture business in Lyle, having sold my stock to Mr. Omoth. All persons knowing themselves indebted to the Lyle Furniture Co., will please call and settle by June 1st, after which time accounts will be left at the First National Bank for collection. - J. P.
