Last Rites Held For Gustav Nesset At Schutte Funeral Home Friday Afternoon

Funeral services were conducted for Gustav Nesset on Friday afternoon at the Schutte Funeral Home at Austin [Minnesota] at 1:30 o'clock, with the Rev. Noss in charge of the services. Interment was in the Pleasant Hill cemetery south of Mona, Iowa.

Gustav Johnson Nesset was born August 27, 1872 in Mitchell county, Iowa, and passed away on Tuesday, March 17, 1942, after suffering a stroke the day before.

He was baptized and confirmed by the Rev. J. Muller Eggen. He received his education in the country school and attended the St. Ansgar Seminary for two years and St. Olaf college at Northfield, Minnesota for two years.

In 1897 he was united in marriage to Minnie Christianson and in 1898 they moved to Black Duck, Minnesota. Mrs. Nesset passed away in 1942 and for the last years the deceased made his home with a sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Hansen of Rose Creek.

Mr. and Mrs. Nesset were the parents of five children, all of whom survive their father. They are Melvin, Molly, Albert, Mable and Mae, and all live in and around Black Duck. He is also survived by five sisters and one brother and several nieces and nephews.
