Funeral services for Knut Knutson 69, who died Tuesday March 28th at the hospital in Austin, were held at the Lyle Lutheran church Friday afternoon. Burial was at Pleasant Hill cemetery.

Mr Knutson was born June 21, 1875 at Lyle, Minn. He was baptized and confirmed by Rev. Mueller Eggen.

On September 6, 1899 he was united in marriage to Thea Rue, who passed away April 9th, 1900, seven months after their marriage.

For several years he was employed as section foreman on the Great Western Railroad. After his father's death he went to live with his mother and sister on the farm west of Lyle. Here he and his sister Anna resided until three years ago when they moved to Colbjornson farm northeast of Lyle and last spring they moved to Lyle.

He is survived by his sister Anna and one brother John of Pine River Minnesota. His father, mother and two sisters Mrs T B Thompson and Mrs Charles Running, and a brother Oliver preceded him in death.

He was a kind brother and neighbor and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Attending the funeral from out of town were Mr and Mrs John Knutson Jr. and Louis Torgeson of Minneapolis, Robert Knutson and Don Smith of Duluth, Mrs Harry Rhoades of Sebeka, Mrs Joe Zeckmeister of Waverly, Iowa. Mr and Mrs Merril Knutson and Herman Berndt of Austin.
