OBITUARY

Knut E. Haugen was born in Olmstead county, Minn., Nov. 19, 1864. In infancy he moved with his family to Dodge County, Minn., where he was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

On June 21, 1892 he was married to Bertha Elsie Tram. To this union nine children were born. The family resided in Dodge county until Oct. 1907, when they moved to Mitchell county, east of Mona, where he lived until his death on Nov. 21, 1934.

His wife and three children preceded him in death. He leaves to mourn his passing; Alfred and Esther at home, Mrs. Eddie Fossey of Lyle, Helma of Pine City, Josephine of Rochester, Mrs. Albert G. Olson of Osage, and six grandchildren. Also three brothers, T E Haugen of Webster City, S. D., E E Haugen of Brookings, S. D., and J. E. Haugen of Minneapolis, who were present at the funeral.
