Judge issues gag order in Lyle teacher slaying

Associated Press

Austin, Minn.

A Mower County judge has issued a gag order in the case of a 14-year-old boy charged in the shooting death of teacher Sharon Turnbull.

Turnbull, 33, was found shot to death in her Lyle home on Aug. 7.

The order by Judge Paul Kimball Jr. prohibiting attorneys and others connected with the case from releasing information about it was made public Friday.

Mower County Attorney Fred Kraft was filed a motion to try the boy as an adult, but no hearing has been scheduled.
