Johnson's Dept Store

Johnson's Dept Store where friendliness and economy rule

1946-08-23 - H. O. & Harold Johnson Purchased H. O. Austinson's Stock. - H. O. Johnson and his son, Harold, closed a deal Tuesday morning with O Austinson, whereby they became joint owners of the stock of merchandise and the business which they will continue. The new owners are not strangers in this vicinity, and are too well known for the Tribune to elaborate on that line. H O Johnson better known as the Rawleigh Man, has been compelled to give up the road work on account of his health. For 19 years, he has made a house to house canvass and knows the trade. Harold Johnson was discharged from the Air Corps in Sept. 1946. He just recently graduated from the Minneapolis School of Business, The change will be made on Monday September 2nd. O Austinson is a member of the Board of County Commissioners and with his farm interests will find plenty to do to keep him busy.
