OBITUARY

On Sunday afternoon, July 30th the remains of John Johnson Quam were laid to rest in Pleasant Hill Cemetery near Mona, Iowa. The deceased passed away Friday evening after suffering for nearly 20 years with Chronic Bronchitis, asthma and lung trouble.

John Johnson Quam was born Dec. 21st 1852 in Norway and was married at Mona in 1875 to Anne Olson who survives him. To them were born 5 children, 4 of whom are living, Mrs. Herman Burndt, Mrs. Ben Perkins, Mabel and Floyd. He also leaves 2 brothers and 3 sisters: Chris Johnson and Ella Elverum of this vicinity and Mrs. John Qually of Minneapolis, Mrs. Nels Seaverson of Polk County, Wis., and a brother Ole in Norway.

Mr. Johnson affiliated with the Lutheran church, which denomination had charge of the funeral service which was held in the Mission church.
