OBITUARY

John Henry Sprinckhorn, an old an respected citizen of this community passed away at his home about one mile west of Lyle Monday afternoon.

The deceased was born in Hamburg, Germany, April 1, 1819. His early life was spent as a sailor on the sea, after which he settled in Canada where he was married to Miss Bridget Conray in 1859.

He settled in this community twenty seven years ago and made his home here until the time of his death. He was a communicant of the Baptist church and was an estimable citizen where ever he lived. Six children and a wife are left to mourn his death.

The funeral was conducted by Rev. G. A. Hanna Wednesday afternoon at the Enterprise school house at 2 o'clock. Interment was made in Rose Creek cemetery.
