--John Erickson who has been ailing for the past two years passed away at his home Sunday evening at 5 o,clock. For the past six weeks he has been very low. The deceased was born in Norway, October 8th,1850. At the age of five years he came to Dane County Wis., where he lived for 10 years. In 1865 he moved to Mitchell County Ia., where he made his home until his death. He is survived by a widow and five children. They are Johnnie, Mrs. Mads Nelson and B.F. Muldown of this vicinity and Ed and Axel of Vida, Mont. He was a member of the Modern Woodmen of America. The funeral was held Thursday afternoon from the Mona church and interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery. Rev. Moe had charge of the service. -- Lyle Tribune
