Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Nelson of Mona were held Thursday, April 24, at the Lyle Mission church with the Rev. Wilbur Junker and the Rev. Stanford Stenson officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery south of Mona.

Mrs. Jennie Nelson was born June 13, 1880, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Erickson on a farm in Mitchell county near Mona, where she spent her entire life. On June 19, 1898, she was united in marriage to Mads Nelson and lived on a farm until Mr. Nelson's death in 1944. She then moved into Mona, where she resided until her death at the Mitchell County Memorial hospital in Osage at the age of seventy-seven years and ten months.

Survivors are her four daughters, Mrs. Mayme Ogden, Osage; Mrs. Esther Jorgenson, Lyle, Minn.; Miss Myrtle Nelson, Rochester, Minn., and Mrs. Thorvald (Alvina) Hansen of St. Ansgar. Three sons, Francis, Lyle, Minn.; Russell and Kenneth of Elkton, Minn.; also one brother, Axel Erickson of Vida, Montana; one sister, Mrs. Annie Muldown of Albert Lea, Minn.; nineteen grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Relatives attending from a distance were from Grand Forks, N. Dak., Vida, Montana, Thief River Falls, Rochester, Albert Lea, Conger, Glenville and Elkton, Minn., Topeka, Kansas, Clear Lake, Osage, and St. Ansgar, Iowa.
