Jennie Pierson, daughter of Thurston and Gunild Reierson, was born August 4th 1876 in Mitchell County, Iowa, where she attended the rural schools and grew to womanhood. She attended the Osage Seminary and the Cedar Falls Normal College and then taught school in her home community for many years.

She became associated with the First National Bank of Lyle, and with her mother moved to Lyle to reside.

She was married to Olaus Hagna Nov. 27, 1919. Mr. Hagna passed away Dec. 2, 1922. Mrs. Hagna continued to reside in Austin until her death.

Mrs. Hagna was in apparent good health on Christmas Day and had spent the day with friends. After returning to her home she suffered a stroke of appoplexy. Her death occurred Jan. 2, 1939.

Besides the mother, she survived by one sister, Mrs. R. L. Mosena, of Milwaukee who was with her when she passed on, and one brother, R Reierson of Portland who came to attend the funeral.

Mrs. Hagna was a member of the Eastern Star and St. Olaf Lutheran church.

Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery. R. L. Mosena, and W. S. Weber of Chicago, two brother-in-laws came to attend the funeral services.
