JAMES K. CLARK
Old Resident Passes Away.

The people of this community were shocked, Monday by the news of the sudden death of James K. Clark who passed away at his home at Mona about 12:00 o'clock. Monday after a few hours illness, Mr. Clark was 69 years of age the 28th of May his native state being Wisconsin.

At the time of the Civil War he joined the 33rd Wisconsin regiment and after locating in this vicinity was a member of the G. A. R. Post at Austin. About 48 years ago he was married to Miss Florence West, daughter of Wm. and Charlotte West, who survives him. He also leaves 4 children: Chas. of St. Paul, Mrs. Flora Freeman-Carlson and Mrs. Lottie Hegdahl, both of Minneapolis and Fred Clark of Manchester Ia. Other relatives are a brother Will Clark of Cohasset, Minn.

The funeral was held from the home Thursday afternoon and interment was made in Woodbury, Rev. Johnson had charge of the services.
