James E. Krulish, 66, of Lyle, Minnesota, passed away early Friday morning on Nov. 17, 2017.
James was born in Austin, Minnesota, on March 7, 1951. He graduated from Austin High School and attended Pipestone Meat Cutting School in Pipestone, Minnesota. James was employed by Hormel Foods in Austin for 44 years. He was a firearms safety instructor for over 30 years and also served on the Mower County Mounted Posse for several years. Throughout his life, James enjoyed his love of “Star Trek,” hunting, fishing, old time country-western music, western movies and the art of conversation.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frank L. Krulish; mother, Eva Belle Adair (Earl) Krulish; grandfather, Kenneth Earl; grandmother, Agnes (James) Earl; sister, Becky (Krulish) Coates; angel sons, Frank James and Jesse James Krulish; niece, Jessica Overby; and godson, Bryan (BT) Peck.
Pallbearers will be Jack Fohrman, Michael Peck, Sean Dulohery, Ryan Njos, Jeremy Peck, and William Kruger. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Krulish, Jameson Krulish, and Ellie Krulish.
James is survived by his wife, Yvonne (Fohrman) Krulish; son, James E. (Erin) Krulish II; daughter, Kimberlee Krulish; grandson, Jameson Krulish; granddaughter, Ellie Krulish; brothers, Randy Krulish and Bob (Dar) Krulish; sister, Linda (Randy) Overby; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 25 at St. Augustine Catholic Church with Father Thomas Loomis officiating. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary and one hour before the service Saturday at the church. Private family interment will be at the family farm at a later date.
