Died.

At the home of Dr. W. F. Cobb in this village, on Tuesday, August 4, 1896, Mr. J. W. Mason, aged 75 years, 11 months and 1 day.

Mr. Mason had been an invalid nearly a year, having suffered a severe stroke of paralysis on December 30th, 1895. He was since been cared for at the home of his only child, Mrs. Dr. Cobb. On Monday morning, Aug. 3, he was taken with another shock and died peacefully about ten o'clock Tuesday morning. His remains were laid to rest in the Mona cemetery Wednesday.
