1885-09-09 Mower County Transcript - There are several good stores in Lyle. Those which we visited being Myhre & Lund, J. F. Humel & Co. and J. O. Myhre, all carrying full stocks of general merchandise. Then there is the genial Capt. Stanley, who has a well-stocked drug store. We also met the thrifty and busy L. W. Sherman.
1898-03-11 John O. Myhre yesterday afternoon sold his entire stock of merchandise to his son-in-law John D. Nelson and his son Theo. Myhre. Mr. Myhre is very ill and believes himself that he cannot survive much longer. We hope this is not so.
