MRS SAM OLSON PASSED AWAY
AT HER HOME SUNDAY A. M.

Mrs. Sam Olson died at her home west of Lyle, Sunday morning, Mar. 3. Had she lived one more day, she would have reached her 77th birthday.

Ida Arneson, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lars Arneson, was born March 4, 1863 in the state of Wisconsin. At the age of one, she moved with her parents to Mower County, Minnesota. She was baptized and confirmed in the Norwegian Lutheran church.

In 1892, she was married to Sam Olson. For eight years they lived in Lyle, and for 40 years on a small farm west of Lyle.

Mrs. Olson is survived by her husband, Sam, four sons, Raymond, and Lafayette of Minneapolis, Melvin of Auburn, Maine, and Bennie at home; also three daughters, Mrs. H O Johnson, Mrs. Donald Morgan of Lyle and Mrs. Albert Olson of Austin.

She also leaves to mourn her passing, 18 grandchildren and one great grand child, also five sisters: Mary and Anne Arneson, Mrs. Chas. Zwerneman, Mrs. Bertha Peterson and Mrs. Stena Qualey.

She was devoted to her family and will be greatly miss by them.

Mother dear, of this life's journey,
you have given us your best,
But now God has taken you to your
eternal rest.
Hardships and toil has been your
pilgrimage on earth.
Heaven now has called you through
Christ's new birth.
Yes, we will miss your welcoming
face,
Each time we visit the old home
place.
We will miss that kindly "Come
again",
When each visit we depart.
But, Mother, we never can forget
That you have given us your life
your heart.

Services were held Tuesday after noon at the Lutheran church, with Rev. O. M. Langehough officiating. Burial was made in the Pleasant Hill cemetery.
