OBITUARY

Horace E. Hofland, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ole A. Hofland of Austin died at the home of his parents Nov. 20th after a week illness with influenza, followed by pneumonia and liver trouble.

Horace was born Mar 6, 1886, in Mitchell County, and at the time of his death was 22 years, 8 mo. and 14 days. A year ago this fall he was taken sick with pleurisy and pneumonia and liver trouble, and since then has never been strong.

He leaves to mourn his death, besides his father and mother, four brothers and four sister; Albert of Enderlin, N. D., Oscar of New Richmond, Wis. Eddie of Buffalo, S.D., Clifford with the Expeditionary Forces, Bertha of Gary, Minn, Orphia, Ruth and Faith at home.

A short funeral service was held at the home in Austin, Saturday, Nov. 23rd by Rev Brown, and the remains were taken to Pleasant Hill Cemetery for burial in the family lot. Rev. Moe had charge of the services. - Contributed.
