Funeral services for Mrs. Dale Bork, 28, of Otranto, who died last Sunday morning (June 15) at Mercy hospital in Mason City following surgery, were held last Wednesday at Deer Creek Lutheran church with the Rev. O. A. Langehough officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Bork, the former Alice Johnson, daughter of Ole and Amy Hanson Johnson, was born on May 16, 1924, at Manly. She lived at Northwood until 1941, when she moved with her parents to a farm near Lyle, Minn. A year later her mother died and she took over the household duties, which included caring for five younger children.

She graduated from Lyle high school in 1942 and on August 25, 1943, was married to Dale Bork of Otranto, who was then in service. After his discharge three years later, they built a home in Otranto.

Survivors include her husband; two children, Dawn Jean, 5, and Diane Lee, 2; her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Ole Johnson of Austin, Minn,; two sisters, Lorraine (Mrs. Wilfred Thome) of Stacyville and Doris of Blooming Prairie, Minn.; three brothers, Laverne of Austin, Charles now with the armed forces in Japan, and Orland, at home; and her paternal grandmother, Mrs. Asle Johnson of Northwood.
