Halver Stoe was born in Mower Co., Minn., May 30, 1867, and was married Oct. 27, 1892, to Miss Nellie Anderson, also of Mower County.

They lived in this vicinity until the spring of 1905, when they moved to White Rock, S. D. On account of ill health, he had to give up farming, and in the fall of 1912 the family moved to Battle Lake, Minn. where he lived he was called home, on April 22, 1917.

To this union was born five children, the oldest one passing away at the age of 5 years and 10 months. The widow and four children are left to mourn the loss of a loving husband and father. The children are Helen, Raymond, Grace and Rachel. Mr. Stowe was a member of the Lutheran Church and was prepared to go home, where he would have peace and rest. He had been a sufferer for these last few years. The remains were laid to rest in the family lot in Six Mile Grove Cemetery. He also leaves an aged mother, seven sisters and two brothers. Contributed.

We wish to thank the friends and neighbors for their kindness and sympathy shown us at the burial of our loved husband and father, also for the floral offering, and those who decorated the church.
