They are Charley, Mrs. Minnie Anderson, Gilbert, Edwin, Gotfred, Rudolph and Raymond. One, Emma, died in 1902 at the age of 17 years.

The deceased is survived by one brother, Gotfred Carlson, of Forest City, Iowa and two sisters, residing in Sweden.

The first work he engaged in after arriving in America was grading the road bed for the Illness Central R. R. In his partnership with his brother he took contracts of this kind. He was a kind husband and father and his friends were only limited in number by the extent of his acquaintances.

Mr. Carlson had at all times the best interests of the community at heart and in this way created lasting friendships. His was a nature that sympathized with the afflictions of a neighbor or friend. In his death our community lost a good citizen and neighbor.
