Funeral services for Gus Larson, 90, were held Monday, January 27 at Schroeder & Houg Funeral Home, St. Ansgar, with the Rev. S. Klemesrud officiating. Committal rites were also held there with burial to be later in the Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.

Gus Larson, the son of Arnie and Gundiel Larson was born on December 27, 1878 near Mona in Mitchell county where he spent his entire life engaged in farming until his health failed.

He was baptized & confirmed in the Mona Lutheran church.

He died at the Good Samaritan Center, St. Ansgar, January 23, where he had resided for several years.

His only survivors are 17 nieces and nephews. He was the last remaining member of a family of eight.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Mrs. Nels (Lena) Hanson; Mrs. Gunder (Carrie) Larson, both of Mona; Mrs. Fred (Mina) Lohmann, Deer Creek; & Mrs. Walter (Clara) Rawn, Lyle; three brothers, Lewis and Arnie of Mona and John of Austin.
