OBITUARY

Mr. Gunder G. Berg who passed away suddenly at his home near Mona January 1st, was born in Grue parish, Solor, Norway, the 24th of January, 1861. He was baptized and confirmed in the parish where he was born.

The deceased was an upright man and respected by all who knew him. He found genuine pleasure in supporting liberally the one institution that sheds light on man's pathway through life, the church of God.

About four years ago while felling trees he sustained injuries that he never fully recovered from. Lately however he had felt better than he had for some time.

Mr. Berg leaves to mourn his departure his sorrowing wife, five daughters, namely, Mrs. Albert Tieman, Mrs. Lewis Larson, Mrs. Roy Duenow, Mrs. Rudolph Carlson and Blanch Berg; three sons, Lloyd, Lee and Rueben Berg. Also one sister, Mrs. Eberhart Johnson and two brothers, Charles Berg of Velva, N. D., and Ole Berg of Seattle, Wash.

Funeral was held from Our Saviors Lutheran Church at Mona January 3rd with interment at the Mona Cemetery, Rev. C. S. Vang officiating. A large number of friends and neighbors paid their last respects to the departed by attending the funeral.
