Grandma Rawn obituary
OBITUARY.
Grandma Rawn died last Monday at the residence of her son L. Rawn a mile and a half west of town. The funeral services took place at the home Wednesday morning at ten o'clock, Rev. D. W. Cram, pastor of the Congregational church, officiating. She had lived to a ripe old age, exceeding the allotted three score years and ten by over thirteen years, and her death was brought about by the natural failure of the faculties on account of her extreme age.
The deceased was born in Denmark in 1816 and at the age of twenty-three years she was married to M. J. Rawn with whom she came to this country in 1859. They settled in Manotowoc, Wis., and lived there until the spring of 1878 when they came to this vicinity and lived here until their death. Her husband died at this place in 1889. They had four children, two of them died when they were small and the other two remain, viz: Mrs. H. P. Peterson of Bath, Minn, and L. Rawn of this place with whom she made her home since the death of her husband.
A large number of sympathizing friends and old acquaintances were present and old acquaintances were present at the funeral, and the family desire to express their thanks to them for their heart-felt sympathy, and especially to those that gave the beautiful floral tributes, and to the choir for their services. The interment took place at the old cemetery south of Mona.
