Gone to Rest.

Edgar Smith died at Lyle, Thursday, July 28, aged between 70 and 80 years, and was buried Saturday at 10 o'clock. Mr. Smith was an old settler in the county, settling at Lyle years ago. He afterwards moved to Austin where he resided until last spring, when he returned to his farm at Lyle. Verily, the scythe of time is performing its work slow but sure, and the old settlers are being removed from our midst one by one, never to return. May peace be with his ashes.
