OBITUARY

The funeral of Mrs Gertrude Klema was held in the Lyle Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon, and interment was made in Pleasant Hill cemetery. The deceased passed away at the Colonial Hospital at Rochester, Minnesota, May 14 1939 after a short siege of pnuemonia.

Gertrude Kvale Klema was born in Brookings, S. D., April 24th 1884. She united in marriage to John Klema at Mason City, Iowa on Dec. [illegible:1 or 2?]0th, 1906. Mrs. Klema was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Kvale, and a brother, Carl. Those surviving are her husband, John Klema, five sons and a daughter; George, Thomas, Emil, John, Donald and Mildred, all of Harmony, Minn.; two brothers, John and Peter Kvale of London, Minn., and five sisters, Mrs. Walter Pike of Carpenter, Ia., Mrs. Frank Berg of Lyle, Mrs. Waughtal of Fort Dodge, Iowa, Mrs. Olga Warrington, of Long Beach, Calif., and Mrs. John Larson of Mitchell, Iowa.

Rev. Langehough, pastor of the local Lutheran churches, conducted the funeral services.
