1909-05-07 It is reported that G. A. Hill who is now conducting a store at Meltonvill expects to move his stock here after May 8th. He will move into the Peterson building occupied last by the Waverly Brewing company saloon.

1909-12-17 Cora Enerson is the new clerk at G. A. Hill's store.

1912-10-11 - G. A. Hill sold his stock of merchandise to John Hanson last week and the latter has already taken charge. For the past week they have been taking an invoice of the stock. Miss Anna Oswold will assist in the store.

1943-03-26 - Mrs Clara Hanson sold her general mercantile store to O Austinson, Wednesday. The deal includes the large stock and building. Invoicing will be commenced next week. The name Hanson has been associated with the business interests of Lyle since 1912 when John Hanson purchased the interest of Geo. Hill, and continued in the business until his death. Since that time, Mrs Hanson has had charge. O Austinson, the new owner, is well known in the community. Just recently he held an auction on his farm east of Lyle to dispose of personal property, and later purchased a house in Lyle known as the Hildebrand house, so is all set for the new adventure. His many friends wish him success.
