Thompson, Age 68

Funeral services for Adolph Thompson, 68, who died suddenly January 22, were held Saturday, January 27 at the Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. S. V. Gjervik officiating.

Adolph Thompson, son of Knute and Martha Thompson, was born December 18, 1883 on a farm east of Mona in Mitchell county. As a young lad, he with his parents moved to the farm south of Mona where he had since resided. He was baptized and confirmed in the Mona Lutheran church by Rev. J. M. Eggen.

On May 1, 1937 he was united in marriage to Elvira Westrum. Although he had not felt well this winter, he was up and around until about 9 a.m. last Monday when he suddenly passed away from coronary thrombosis.

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, two sisters, Mrs. Rose Onnestad of Danbury, Wisconsin and Josie Thompson of Madison, Wisconsin; four nieces, one nephew besides other relatives and many friends.

Interment was made at Pleasant Hill cemetery with the Rev. Gjervik conducting the committal services.
