Found Frozen to Death.

Yesterday, the body of James H. Rochford, aged over 70 years, was found in Maurice Cotter's field, southwest of the city, where it had probably lain for over a week. He was in Austin, Saturday, Dec. 22, and started out to his daughter's in Lyle about nine o'clock in the evening. It was dark and it is supposed that he lost the road and was thrown out while driving across a plowed field, his horse getting away from him, leaving him helpless. The horse was not found for several days. He was not missed for several days because his relatives in Austin supposed that he was with his daughter in Lyle and those in Lyle thought that he had stayed in Austin. He was an old settler of Austin and Lyle townships. He leaves a widow and several children.
