OBITUARY

Miss Elenor Brooks, who has been very poorly for some time, passed away at the home of her uncle J. L. Hughson last Friday. It had been known for some time that she could not live long, yet there ever was that hopefulness and struggle to overcome the dread disease which claimed the entire family.

She was born October 24, 1893 in this village where the family lived. Later her father had charge of the Great Western railway business at Bolan, where the family made their home for a few years, but on account of Mr. Brook's health they moved to Colorado. The mother died when Miss Elenor was but eight year of age, 5 years ago her only brother died in the hospital at Mason City and about three years ago her father passed away in Denver Colo., leaving her alone and in a sickly condition. For the past 9 months she has been making her home with her uncle J. L. Hughson.

The funeral took place from the Congregational church Sunday afternoon and was conducted by Rev. Evans. Interment was made in Woodbury cemetery.
