Elaine Webber-Fjerstad, 85

Elaine J. Webber-Fjerstad, 85, of Austin, Minn. died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at the Adams Healthcare Center.

Elaine was born on Aug. 19, 1926, in Austin to Arnold and Alice (Christensen) Skogebo. She graduated from Austin High School in 1944. Elaine was united in marriage to Richard E. Webber Sr. on Aug. 26, 1945. Richard died in 1988. In April of 1998, Elaine was married to Harvey Fjerstad at the Northwest Church of Christ in Austin. Elaine was an Amway distributor until her failing health led to her retirement. Elaine was a member of the Church of Christ in Austin.

Elaine is survived by her children, Trudie (Alfredo) Cruz, Sioux Falls, S.D., Douglas (Sandy) Webber, Plymouth, Minn., Beverly Webber, Austin, LuAnn (Scott) Schmidt, New London, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Jolene Webber, Ankeny, Iowa; seven grandchildren, Melissa Luby, Christopher Schmidt, Amanda Frazer, Adam Schmidt, Tuppence Chhin, Bo Schmidt, Jeffery Webber; 18 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; brothers, Marvin (Joan) Skogebo, Lompoc, Calif., Allen (Marti) Skogebo, Crownsville, Md., Arnie (Jean) Skogebo, Rochester, Minn.; sisters, Judy Kollar, Blooming Prairie, Minn., Cathie (Rusty) Tanner, Houston, Texas; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Richard Webber, Sr. and Harvey Fjerstad, son Richard Webber Jr., grandson Zackerias Cruz and brother LuVerne Skogebo.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 17 at the Clasen-Jordan Mortuary Chapel with Pastor David DeFor officiating. Interment will be at Cedar City Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Mortuary for one hour before the service.

Casket bearers will be her seven grandchildren.

Memorials may be designated to the Church of Christ 103 2nd Street SW, Austin.
