Edward Anderson, who was born and reared in this community was accidentally killed at Rhame, N. D., Saturday evening, Feb. 5th. As near as we can learn the facts, the accident happened while he was crossing over some tracks where a train was standing. He passed over one of the tracks just back of a freight and apparently stepped right in front of another moving train. There was considerable steam around the yard making it difficult to see the trains.

The deceased was born in Nevada township March 18, 1883. His parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ole I. Anderson have both passed away recently.

On June 11, 1905 he was married to Emma Jacobson and this union was blessed with four daughters, who besides the mother are left to mourn his sudden demise. About 8 years ago the family moved to Rhame, N. D., where he took a homestead. Mr. and Mrs. Anderson was baptized, confirmed and married in the Six Mile Grove church where the funeral services took place.

Besides the children and widow he leaves 4 brothers; Ole J. and I. I. Anderson of this place, Sever of Rhame and Chris of Hastings, Minn., and a sister Mrs. John Hedin of Cannon Falls, Minn. The remains were sent here for burial, and the funeral took place Thursday afternoon, interment being made in the Six Mile Grove cemetery. Rev. Moe had charge of the services.
