Funeral services for Donald Morgan, 66, were held Tuesday, August 16 at Worlein Funeral Home in Austin with the Rev. M. Johnson of Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Mona.

Donald Morgan, son of Charles and Ella Morgan, was born April 17, 1900 at Minneapolis, Minn. He moved to Lyle at a very early age, and had continued to live there for the past 60 years.

June 17, 1918 he was married to Laura Olson at Austin, Minn. He was a mail carrier at Lyle, worked as a carpenter and was employed at Hormel's in Austin from 1941 to 1961. He served in the Navy during World War I. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran church and the American Legion in Lyle.

He died August 13 at St. Olaf hospital after being in ill health the past five years.

He is survived by his wife, Lawia, three daughters, Mrs. Floyd Capretz, Lyle; Mrs. Barbara Wilder, Austin, Minn,; Miss Delores Morgan, Lyle; also three sons, Delmar and Spencer, both of Austin, Minn. and Larry of Minneapolis and several grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Willis Olson, Noble Olson, Sidney Olson, Donald Peterson, Harry Jordan and Melvin Elverum.
