1934-04-06 - "Redemption Extended on Lyle Hotel Mortgage" - Judge Norman Peterson, in district court extended the redemption of the mortgage on the Commercial Hotel at Lyle to March 1, 1935. The hotel belongs to Wallace W. Card of Grand Meadow. He acquired it through a trade. Originally the hotel had thirty one rooms and rented at $85 a month. The Lyle Farmers State bank holds the mortgage which has been reduced from $3,500 to $1,400. The judge appointed the Farmers bank trustee and stipulated that $25 from each month's rent must go towards paying off the taxes and insurance during the extension of the period of redemption. The balance of the rent is to be paid to Mr. Card, the owner.
