Funeral services for Clifford G. Schroeder, 64, of Mona, were held Friday, October 25 Mona Lutheran church with the Rev. S. Klemesrud officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery south of Mona. Mr. Schroeder died suddenly from a heart attack at his farm home Tuesday October 22.

Clifford George Schroeder, the son of Otto and Sadie (Harcourt) Schroeder was born at Charles City May 5, 1904. He attended grade school in Waterloo.

On December 7 1929 he was married to Rhoda Hilde at Austin, Minn. Two sons were born to this union. Mr. Schroeder was baptized and confirmed at Our Savior's Lutheran church, Lyle by the Rev. O.M. Langehough. He was a member of Our Savior's in Lyle and later became a member of Mona Lutheran. He served on the church councils of both churches; also on the Mona school board; Otranto township Farm Bureau and was a 4-H leader in Otranto township for five years.

He is survived by his wife, Rhoda; two sons, the Rev. Clifford Schroeder of Kenyon, Minn. and Ralph Schroeder, Osage; also six grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Irvin (Helen) Machacek, Mrs. Dormond (Alice) Laskewitz and Mrs. Mel (Grace) Bakken; four brothers, Edgar, Donald, Richard and George, all of Austin.

Relatives attended from Westby, Wisconsin; Kenyon, Albert Lea, Glenville, Myrtle, Austin & London, Minn. and Charles City, Osage and St. Ansgar.
