OBITUARY

Clara Josephine Bergeson was born to Hans and Christina Bergeson on July 18, 1881, at Grafton N. D. and passed away at 1 o'clock, Sunday afternoon Nov. 28, 1943 at the St. Olaf Hospital where she had been a patient for six weeks, following a heart attack.

She was baptized when an infant at Grafton, N. D., and when a small girl she moved with her parents, to London Township, and also to Deer Creek Township. At the usual age she was confirmed into the Deer Creek Valley church by Rev. Broon. She was faithful to her faith and church until her death. On March 13, 1902, she was united in marriage to Carl Martin Foss in the Deer Creek Valley church. Two children were born to this union: Harry and Cora.

Mrs Foss was a kind and loving wife and mother, and took much interest in her family and home. She had been in failing health for more than a year.

Besides her sorrowing husband, she is survived by her son and daughter, both at home, and four brothers: Elmer, Spring Grove, Albert of Minneapolis Melvin and Clarence Bergeson, both of Spokane, Wash.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Funeral services were held at the Lyle Lutheran church Wednesday afternoon Dec. 1 in charge of the Schutte Funeral Home. Rev. O. M. Langehough officiated. Interment was in Pleasant Hill cemetery.
