The City Market - Harry Bretchel

1946-08-16 - "Harry Brechel (sic) Buys Red Owl Store" - Harry Brechel of Rose Creek purchased the Byron Bradford Red Owl stock and store building, and will take possession September 15. Mr. Bradford passed exam, was inducted into the service and restored to his former rank.
1946-09-20 - "New Proprietors Take Charge." - Harry Brechtel (sic) who purchased the Red Owl grocery from Mr. and Mrs. B. Bradford took over the business Monday morning. A grand opening will be held Saturday, giving the people and opportunity to meet and get acquainted with the new proprietors. Mr. and Mrs. Bretchel come from the Rose Creek neighborhood. They have one child.

1947-02-14 - "Sold Farm & Bought House & Store" - A deal was closed Wednesday whereby Fernie News (sic) became the owner of the Red Owl store, owned by Mr. Bretchel who in the deal acquired a 120 acre farm, 10 mi. east of Lyle, 80 acres in Sec. 27 and 40 acres in Section 34, Adams township. Mr. News also closed deal with L. C. Priem for the latter's hous in Lyle, known as the Julius Johnson place. Mr. Priem plans to build in Lyle if he can find a suitable location. In the mean time he will occupy the house on the farm purchased by Mr. Bretchel.
