Died.

At the residence of his brother-in-law, Peter Hanson, on Tuesday morning, November 5, Mr. Christen Roberts, aged 35 years, 5 months and 27 days.

The death of Mr. Roberts came as a sudden shock to his many friends in Lyle and vicinity, for it had been currently reported that he was rapidly convalescing from his severe attack of typhoid fever, but on Monday evening he took a sudden relapse and at eight o'clock the following morning his spirit departed to a better life. He leaves a father, two brothers and two sisters, his mother having passed away only a few weeks ago.

The funeral services were held Tuesday by Rev. Eggen and the remains were interred in Mona Cemetery.

This family have had more than their share of misfortune this fall, as nearly every member of three generations have had a siege of typhoid fever, resulting in two fatalities as stated above. There are some five or six children yet sick, but none considered dangerous. These unfortunate people have the sympathy of the community.
