Funeral services for Carl M. Anderson, age, 83, a former Lyle resident were held at the Mission Saturday at 1:30 p. m. with the Rev. E. Russell Preetorious of Mlps. and the Rev. Wilbur Junker of Lyle officiating with interment at Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.

Carl Anderson was born March, 8, 1875 at Tredestrand, Norway. Mr. Anderson, who had been in failing health, died in his sleep at his home in Minneapolis Wednesday, March 4, and was found by his wife.

They lived in Lyle for many years where Mr. Anderson was a painter and interior decorator until 1939 when they moved to Minneapolis.

He is survived by his wife, and four daughters, Mrs. Carl Knutson (Violet), Mrs. Stanley Larson (Illah), Mrs. Clarence Rich (Genevieve) all of Minneapolis, Mrs. Alwood Lee (Alice) of Seattle, Washington; five sons: Howard and Clyde of Minneapolis, Russell of Lyle and Mervin and Grant of Portland, Oregon.

Two sisters: Mrs. Nick Severson in California and Mrs. John Knutson of Cedar Falls. Also two half sisters, Clara and Agnes Anderson in California, a brother of Cedar Falls, and a half brother, McKinley of Spokane, Washington; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one son Garfield, also four brothers, George, Swain, Julius and Andrew and one half one half brother Harris.
