1911-04-21 - "Business Changes Hands." A deal was consumated this Thursday afternoon whereby Briese Bros., of Plainview, Minn. became owners of the Dahl Bros. Mercantile business. The change will take place next Tuesday when the invoice commences.

1912-08-02 - "Business Changes" ...The mercantile business of Briese Brothers has been purchased by A. Holland of Northwood. The stock was traded for land 8 miles east of Crookston, Minn. and the deal was brought about through the efforts of the Bell & Johnson land company. Mr. Holland is a man of large business affairs and will have charge from the first of August. The store was closed the first of the week while the stock was being invoiced. Briese Brothers have nothing definite planned for the future. W. E. has two or three propositions under consideration and will move from here in the near future. O. H. will continue to make his home here for another year, he says...
