The principal facts concerning the life of Botolf B. Bothum, whose dath was referred to in the Tribune two weeks ago are as follows:

He was born in Fresvik, Norway Sept. 6th, 1832 where he lived until 1856 when he came to America. He first settled in Wisconsin and later came to Mitchell county Iowa. Seven yrs ago he moved to Lyle village where he lived 5 years. Two years ago he went to Bismarck, N.D. to make his home with his daughter Mrs. Iver Hoium where he passed away. About 4 years ago he was stricken with paralysis from which he never fully recovered. Last October he had an attack of Bronchitis. The remains were brought here for interment in Pleasant Hill cemetery. He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Iver Hoium, Mrs. John A. Larson, and Mrs. Sever Knutson.
