OBITUARY

Betsy Hemsing was born in Norway Sept. 14th 1841 and moved to Stoughton, Wis., in 1867. She was married to Erick Orestad and moved to Houston County, Minn., in 1868.

Mr. Orestad died in 1872, and on June 3, 1875 she was married to Espen Tuften. They moved to Mitchell County, Iowa in the year 1885. Mr. Tuften passed away in February 1894.

Deceased was the mother of six children, 2 sons and 4 daughters. One of them has preceded the mother of the great beyond and the others are left to mourn the loss of a kind, noble and loving mother. The funeral was held at Mona Lutheran church.

The sympathy of the community is with the bereaved family. Miss Sarah Tuften of Rushford, Bennie Tuften of Grand Forks and Ole Orestad of Minneapolis were here to attend the funeral.
