OBITUARY

Benjamin Vaughan Wilder, eldest son of Nelson and Maria H. Wilder, was born at Otranto, Iowa on the old home farm, Nov. 19, 1862, where he grew to manhood.

He was married to Alberta A. Bowers, June 28, 1882, and to them nine children were born, two of whom died in infancy, and Mildred at the age of six years. The living children are Gladys Jacobus of Hedges, Mont. Grace McGrew of Minneapolis, Delma Dye of Cottonwood, Idaho, Glenn B. Wilder of Forrestburg, S. D. Floyd E. Wilder of Howard, S. D., and Elva May Wilder at home in Mitchell, S. D.

He moved to Letcher, S. D. in 1886 and engaged in farming for a number of years until his health failed. He then moved to Mitchell, S. D., where his childhood were educated.

Besides his children he leaves to mourn his loss six grandchildren, an aged mother, and one brother, A. B. Wilder of Minneapolis, at whose home he died, May 25th, 1923.

The remains were brought to Lyle and interment was made at Woodbury, Sunday afternoon.
