--Several of the conductors and other trainmen of the Illinois Central R. R., make Austin their headquarters, and have ever since regular trains commenced running on the Minn. & N.-W. They can easily run up and back on the new road, and they find Austin a much pleasanter place to "lay over" than at Mona or Lyle.
