Arnold Scheffel Dies In Auto Mishap Sunday

Arnold Scheffel of Lyle was killed in a two vehicle accident in Austin early Sunday morning.

He was a passenger in a car driven by Terry Leidall of St. Ansgar when the car was in collision with a vehicle driven by Thomas Enfield of Austin at the intersection of highway 218 and Interstate 90 near the airport.

There were four persons in the Leidall car besides Leidall and Scheffel. They included their wives, Melodie Scheffel and Marcia Leidall and Rodney and Connie Williamson of Lyle.

Rodney Williamson was said to have been in serious condition Monday at a Rochester hospital suffering from head injuries and multiple fractures.

Leidall was listed in fair condition with multiple fractures at the Rochester Hospital.

Marcia, Melodie and Connie and Thomas Enfield were all listed in satisfactory condition at an Austin hospital.
