ANDREW HOFLAND BURIED
TUESDAY AFTERNOON

Andrew A. Hofland, son of [illegible:Arfin?] and Martha Hofland was born in Sogne, Norway, Oct. 19, 1858.

At the age of seventeen he immigrated to this country with his parents and five brothers who preceded him in death, and one sister who is still living. They settled in Mitchell, County, Iowa.

In 1886 he married Josephine Erickson, who preceded him in death Sept. 10, 1933. To this union were born four children, all of whom live to mourn his death. They are Jennie, Mrs. A. O. Austinson Ethel, Mrs. L. O. Aanonson and Andy Hofland of Austin. He also leaves to mourn his death, his sister Mrs. John Thorstad of Minneapolis; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

He lived in and around Lyle until 1909 when he purchased the late home in Nevada Township. He resided there with his son, Andy until his death, Nov. 11th, at the age of 86 years, 22 days.

Funeral services were held in Six Mile Grove church, interment being in Pleasant Hill cemetery, Mona, Iowa. Rev. O. A. Langehough of St. Ansgar conducted the service.
