Amanda Sophiae Holt was born Feb. 5th, 1897, in Lyle Township, Mower County, Minnesota, and was baptized in Mona church by Rev. J. M. Eggen, and confirmed by Rev. N. N. Esser. She had been a faithful member of the church, and also of the choir. Since four years of age she made her home with the Martin Hanson family, where she was brought up under Chrisitian influence. She has failed in health for the past year and four months, and was taken to the Oakdale Sanatorium, Jan. 11th, for treatment, where she passed away, June 9th, at 5:30 P. M., 1930. Her mother, a sister Lilly, and a brother, Clarence preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her father, Ole Holt, of Mona, two brothers, Alvin of Austin, and Thos. of Cuba City, Wis., and other relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed as she was loved by all who knew her.

Funeral services were held at the M. Hanson home at 12:30 and at the Mona church at 1 P. M., on Thursday June 12, Rev. Langehough officiating.

Those from away who attended the funeral were: Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Olsen and George Olsen of Rice Lake, Wis, Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Danielson of St. Paul, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Fred Radestock and Miss Eleanore Olsen of Chicago, and the following from Austin, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Johnson, Mrs. J. Dufty, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Myhers, the Clarence Hansen family, Miss Pauline Bondak.
