OBITUARY

The remains of Miss Alma Nelson were brought to Lyle Monday. and the funeral was held Tuesday at the Lutheran church, Rev. Vang officiating.

Alma Chartotte Nelson was born at Waukon, Iowa. Nov. 27, 1895, and died April 4th, 1925. When three years of age she moved with the family to Lake Mills, Iowa, where she attended public and parochial school. There she was instructed in the word of God and confirmed by Rev. A. J. Lee.

When she was 15 years of age the family came to Lyle, Minn., and lived on a farm 4 miles west of the village. There she grew to womanhood and made a host of friends. Four years ago the family moved to Lyle, but the past year Alma was employed in Minneapolis.

A month ago she was taken ill with influenza, which weakened her condition, and she gradually failed. After a week's illness her mother was called to care for her. Last Wednesday morning she underwent an operation for ulcers of the stomach. Saturday A. M. at 6:30 she passed quietly beyond.

She leaves to mourn her sudden death her mother, Mrs. N. O. Nelson, of Lyle, Clara, who was also employed at Minneapolis, Mrs. Lafayette Olson of Lyle and her brother Olven Nelson of Lyle.

A brother, Helmer, passed away about seven years ago.

Ulvie of Lake Mills, Iowa, Irene G. Nelson of Chicago, Alma and Mae Spurr of Minneapolis, Carl A. Olson and Victor Peterson of Forest City, Ia., Ole Nelson of Westbrook, Minn.
