Alfred Helgeson, age 55, a bachelor, who resided between Lyle and Austin, was found dead in his car on the street in Lyle Wednesday, May 28 about 3:55 p.m.

The Mower county coroner and sheriff were called and death was determined due to a heart attack. Mr. Helgeson resided with his niece, Mrs. Wilfred Dennison.

Funeral services were held Saturday, May 31, at St. Olaf Lutheran church in Austin with the Rev. A. Swenson officiating with interment at Pleasant Hill cemetery at Mona.

He is survived by three sisters, Mrs. Carl Haas of Lyle, Mrs. Fred Klawitter of Los Angeles, Calif., and Mrs. Conrad Halverson of Taopi, Minn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Knut Helgeson, three brothers, Ole of Lyle and two brothers both named Henry, one having died in infancy; three sisters, Mrs. Gena Hansen of Minneapolis and Miss Henrietta and Miss Anna Helgeson.
